I love our 1902 home we purchased more 10 years ago. It is constantly evolving and goes through whatever changes my little heart desires. I love vintage treasures and I'm always on the hunt for them! My hope is that this blog will be a constant scrapbook for my family and home,a place to make new friends and just somewhere to lay out my thoughts, even if they aren't beautiful or inspiring. Don't Take Breathing Through Your Nose For Granted................

Ugh! Sick, sick, sick! I just can't shake this think. I started to feel it come on Saturday. I felt exhausted and sat on the couch watching the first season of American Horror Story.

I pretty much knew all day that I was not gonna go to my friend Chris' for game night. Until Jill talked me into. Glad I went but left early because I had nursery duty in the am. I can't wait for the next one!

Jill,Carol and Amy....... and the built-ins at Christine's that I'm enamored with!

I spent the rest of my Sunday after church in my cute new slippers, watching the rest of AHS while Tim and Em went out for a daddy/daughter day.

Monday morning we woke up to a sheet of ice and our schools closed. A snow day. I slept in and when I awoke I felt even worse. AHHHH!!!!  Was this sickness not aware of the busy week I had that lie ahead? and what in world is this weird lump in my cheek? A swollen lymph node?

I made a doctors appointment first thing Tuesday. My PC thought it was a stone in my saliva glands but the ENT she sent me to just said it was a lymph node. Annoying. Good thing Tim was off to take me. We had planned on doing lunch it was his B-day. We couldn't do dinner because Em and I had tix to a concert with our friends Christine and Maddi and their friends.

Us,waiting in line. You can tell we got a reprieve from winter because we aren't wearing coats!
So yeah, this concert..... I was a little worried. Em's taste in music is a lot like mine at her age. Metal, Hardcore, punk etc.... this was for The Black Veil Brides and I didn't know what to expect seeing as my musical tastes of late has mostly been The Avett Brothers,Bon Iver,First Aid Kit and other uh....quieter genres.

Anyways, I have to say I really enjoyed myself. It brought back sooo many good memories of going to shows with my Jill and Lei. I loved seeing her have fun with her friends but in typical parent/child fashion she got mad at me for pulling her out of the pit. At least wait until you get contacts little darling!!  We made our way up to the front (just like old times!)

I felt pretty old though when about halfway through their set I felt just horrible. I hadn't eaten or drank anything in about 5 hours and I thought I was going to pass out. I had to be escorted out of the building by security. Had I been 15 years younger I would have been mortified. But I had some water, recovered and enjoyed the rest of the show by myself from the back.(while mourning for my youth and waist line)

So here we are 2 days later, still on antibiotics and still sick!! We made it to Benihana tonight but I couldn't even taste anything. I'm hoping to feel better so I can go celebrate something with some friends this weekend. Otherwise I'm looking at couch city and finishing off another tv show.........

Here's to an awesome February!!!
