Last week was the big DC trip with Emma and her friends. We had a blast. LOTS of walking.(My poor feet!!)Here are some pictures from our trip:
Em,Wyatt and Jules at the Capitol
My beautiful girl on the Potomac with the Jefferson memorial behind her.
Emma and Juliett......BFF's!! Thank you Dr.King for ALL of our friends!! You paved the way!
Special treasures from the Smithsonian (where my battery died)
All the kids at the WWII Memorial.
At the White House with my friends Dottie (Wyatt's Mom) and Jill (Jules' Mom)
In Arlington: Iwo Jima.......Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
We had such a wonderful time. I truly believe that any American who gets the chance to go to Washington DC should. I feel like I have a deeper sense of pride in my country. Also The Holocaust Museum was extremely poignant and should not be missed.
We made memories with our dear friends that will last a lifetime. I'm so glad we took a different route (than going on the class trip) and did our own thing.
