I love our 1902 home we purchased more 10 years ago. It is constantly evolving and goes through whatever changes my little heart desires. I love vintage treasures and I'm always on the hunt for them! My hope is that this blog will be a constant scrapbook for my family and home,a place to make new friends and just somewhere to lay out my thoughts, even if they aren't beautiful or inspiring. A treasure came in the mail today.....

Yes, a lovely, clean, crisp copy of the Ikea 2009 catalog came today. I'm sure within a month it will be dog-eared and worn.Certain pages looked at again and again. When I was about 11 I would take our copy(we never went though. My first trip to Ikea happened when I was 20 and Tim and I just met.) and add up everything I wanted with an old adding machine my Gram gave me.

Truth be told there isn't much I need these days in the way of furniture but I do really like the Husnes mirror found on page 344. I'm thinking horizontally with a big ribbon over the buffet.
Yep,that sure would be pretty. Now where did my husband put that Ikea credit card?...........

I hope you are recovering still and I can totally understand the excitement of an IKEA catalogue. I go about once a year and often find excellent things for storage there. I like the layout of your blog.

I got my first catalog in college, but didn't get to actually GO until last summer. The closest ones are up by Chicago, a 5 hour drive away! It was such a magical experience, I went back 2 weeks later with my best friend!!

One thing, though... their customer service stinks. I ended up having to pay $17 to ship a curtain rod to my home that they forgot to give me while I was there :P
